Student Transportation Funding Cuts Questioned

For most students, getting on a yellow school bus with other similarly aged students every morning is just part of their daily routine. But for many it’s not. For too many students across this Commonwealth, as young as kindergarten, they could only wish for this type of luxury. Across Pennsylvania, students are being given a bus pass in lieu of appropriate transportation to and from school. Rep. Mihalek questioned the Department of Education about this issue because the budget proposed by the new governor actually cuts pupil transportation funding.
