Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington) and Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh today held a press conference at the Washington County Courthouse to introduce legislation that would elevate the crime of concealing the death of a child to a second-degree felony.

Bethel Park to Receive Tourism Grants, Announce Mihalek and Robinson

BETHEL PARK – Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington) and Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-Allegheny/Washington) have announced Bethel Park is the recipient of two Gaming Economic Development Tourism Fund (GEDTF) grants. The grants fund community projects in Allegheny County through a tax assessed on slot games in casinos.

WHAT: The House Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Education and the House Education Committee Subcommittee on Higher Education will hold a joint hearing to review higher education funding in Pennsylvania. This year’s budget spends $1.86 billion on higher education and it is prudent for the House to review expenditures to ensure taxpayers’ dollars are being spent appropriately.

Mihalek to Host Shred Event for District 40

ALLEGHENY – Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington) will hold a free, on-site shredding event for residents of the 40th District. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 9-11 a.m., in the Upper St. Clair High School’s lower lot, located at 1825 McLaughlin Run Road, Pittsburgh. Attendees should enter on Devonwood Dr. and exit on McLaughlin Run Road.
