HARRISBURG – Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington) announced that the 2021-22 budget has passed the House of Representatives. There is a total spend of $39.78 billion in general fund dollars and $1.04 billion in federal relief funds that support the Commonwealth’s fiscal future, education, police forces, infrastructure, elections, communities and most vulnerable populations. The budget includes no new taxes and no new fees.

House Passes Mihalek’s Bill to Protect Human Trafficking Victims

HARRISBURG – The House of Representatives has passed Rep. Natalie Mihalek’s (R-Allegheny/Washington) bill to protect victims of human trafficking. House Bill 246 amends the human trafficking statute to prohibit defendants from introducing evidence of a human trafficking victim’s past sexual victimization and allegations of past sexual victimization.

Mihalek Announces CFA Grant for Allegheny County

ALLEGHENY – Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington) announced that Allegheny County was awarded a Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) grant in the amount of $150,000. The Miracle League of the South Hills Inc. requested a Greenways, Trails and Recreation fund grant to improve an existing baseball field in Upper St. Clair Township. The grant will be used for concession stand construction.
