Apply Now for PennDOT Summer Jobs, Mihalek Says

HARRISBURG – Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington) announced today that college students can now apply online for summer jobs offered through PennDOT’s 2019 Summer Maintenance Program. The program, which begins in May, will run through August 2019.

The program is designed to supplement PennDOT’s permanent workforce by providing maintenance and custodial services at roadside rest facilities and supplying additional labor and performing flagging duties in maintenance organizations and highway worksites.

To be eligible for consideration, students must:
• Be 18 years of age.
• Be enrolled full-time in college for the fall 2019 semester.
• Have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.

The hourly rate for these positions is $13.56.

Interested students are encouraged to contact Mihalek’s office at (717) 783-1522 to convey their interest in the position and must apply online at employment.pa.gov. Look for the PennDOT Summer Maintenance Program posting under the Opens Jobs section of the website.

Application deadline is Friday, Feb. 15.
