Aquatic Facility Coming to Peters Township, Mihalek Says

December 6, 2021

PETERS TOWNSHIP, WASHINGTON COUNTY – Peters Township will soon have a new aquatic facility thanks to a $2 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant.

“It is with great pleasure that I am announcing today that Peters Township is the recipient of $2 million to be used toward the construction of a community swimming pool,” said Mihalek. “In partnership with township management, who have worked tirelessly on the acquisition and design of this long-awaited project, I was happy to play a small role in securing these funds for the community.”

The Rolling Hills Park Aquatic Facility will include a splash pad, children’s pool, leisure pool, deep water pool, lazy river and assorted slides/water recreation features that appeal to residents of all age ranges. Beyond the aquatic features, concession stands, locker rooms, event rooms and programming facilities will be constructed. Finally, site work that involves stormwater management facilities, parking lots, utilities and grading are also included.
