Grants Approved for 40th Legislative District, Mihalek Announces

HARRISBURG – Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Washington/Allegheny) today announced that a total of $510,000 in Local Share Account grants were awarded to projects within the 40th legislative district today by the Washington County Board of Commissioners.
The projects include:
• Peters Creek Sanitary Authority: Cured-in-Place Repair Program - $100,000
• Peters Township Sanitary Authority: Brush Run Treatment Plant Ultraviolet Disinfection System and Phosphorus Removal Upgrades - $250,000
• Peters Township: Rolling Hills Park Trail System Project - $160,000
“I am happy to share that funding for these important projects has been approved and I was happy to do my part to advocate for them,” said Mihalek.
Local Share Account grants fund economic development, job training, community improvement and public interest projects through gaming funds under Act 71 of 2004. More than $6.9 million in projects was approved for 2020 in Washington County.
The 40th Legislative District includes Bethel Park Borough and Upper St. Clair Township in Allegheny County and Peters Township in Washington County.
