10/21/2019
MCMURRAY – To help with renovations to Miners Memorial Park in Bethel Park, Rep. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington) advocated for a $250,000 grant that was approved by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).

“I am excited to announce that my office was able to secure this funding for Miners Memorial Park,” said Mihalek. “Like many parks in our community, Miners Memorial Park is one that our residents love and enjoy. This funding will help with much-needed renovations so that this park can continue to be a place of fun activities for all to enjoy.”

The project includes renovations to the upper and lower fields, bleachers, fencing, ADA parking, concrete sidewalks, and bathroom and concession building rehabilitation.

The DCED’s mission is to foster opportunities for businesses to grow and for communities to succeed and thrive in a global economy.

Mihalek represents the 40th Legislative District which includes Bethel Park Borough and Upper St. Clair Township in Allegheny County and Peters Township in Washington County.
